CONFIDENCE IN SERVICE QUALITY
As a logistics provider, you ensure quality and reliability along the supply chain. You deliver efficiency in your day-to-day business with customers and employees.
Both for the market and for recruiting, the Qualified Carrier is a valuable competitive advantage: the certificate fosters confidence in your company’s performance, demonstrates transparency and spotlights you as a responsible carrier and good employer.
The Qualified Carrier assessment system includes more than 40 performance criteria that the company must meet for certification. The criteria cover business, social and legal aspects. Our auditors are well experienced in the logistics sector and check requirements such as statutory insurance and social welfare standards, basics for good management and operations (such as costing inputs, corporate planning and handling of incidents), and take a close look at criteria that relate to working conditions – a significant advantage when recruiting is challenging.
The DQS Competence Center Logistics developed the criteria catalogue in close cooperation with an advisory board of renowned sector experts.
The one-day audit includes document review and onsite inspection. Following a transparent criteria catalogue, sector experienced auditors concentrate on management requirements, human resources policy and working conditions, processes and operations, and on requirements for truck fleet and facilities.
If your company complies with at least 85% of the requirements, you reach certification. About one fourth of the requirements of the standard are essential and therefore indispensable “knockout” criteria, such as repeatedly violation of driving times and rest periods, or salary deductions in case of damages.
After the audit, you get a report with guidance on opportunities for improvement. Best performers (at least 95%) are rewarded with an “Excellence” rating. Certification is valid for three years.
